To bring great talents to fruition they need careful nurturing.Worrying about money or where the next meal or a place to sleep is coming from stops the creative process dead in its tracks. If we want to make the best use of our human resources we need to create environments where talent can thrive and explore from a position of security. It's a lot like good parenting practice.
So Pod42 launches the Adopt A Talent initiative. We invite both potential talent protégés and adoptive 'parents' to send us their expressions of interest. Pod42 will coordinate and administrate talent selection, support, the distribution of funds and regular reporting to the benefactors. |

Denmark, Western Australia. Perhaps not the centre of attention of a world obsessed with Danish humour. Still the hub of Western Australia's creative and academic intelligentia, flocking to this beautiful town on the state's south coast for it's reputation of easy-going 'hippie' village life style, multifacetted cultural life and environmentally innovative activities.
Some of the highlights are: the Denmark Environment Centre, the Denmark Telecentre, Denmark Library (one of the largest in the state), the Denmark Civic Centre, the Denmark Centre for Sustainable Living.
Next big event: Ben'Evolent - the annual Mooved by Wearable Art fashion theatre extravaganza: 5 March 2006!
Since June 2005 also home of Pod42 - the centre for creative solutions. Instigator of building with 'waste' resources like car tyres, carboard and cans through EcoLodgic and Open Source community web servicies like the Denmark WA Learning Community Network - in close cooperation with the Denmark Telecentre and Healthy Community project.

So the mailing failed. Something's wrong. Disappointed?
You bet.
Gonna quit?
Too early to tell. Don't know yet what went wrong.
What are you going to do now?
First, I'm going to see if I can figure out why I didn't get it right
the first time. Then I'm going to see what kind of choices I can
create.
